I'm new to all the gecko genetics, so please bear with me.
I now have two adult APTOR females.
What can I breed with these and what would I get.
I have a blazing blizzard male that is an eclipes. Good combo ?
What would it take to get RAPTORS ? Is the above male on the right track ?
many thanks

Actually, If it was a Tremper Albino Blazing Blizzard x APTOR you would get all Albinos 100% heterozygous for Blizzard and APTOR. If you were wanting to produce RAPTOR's you would need some animals that were at least heterozygous for RAPTOR. Altough People have hatched out RAPTORs from APTORs.... WHO KNOWS!

If the Blazing Blizzard was not Tremper Albino. If it was Bell Albino or Rainwater Albino you would get all Normal Looking animals that were 100% heterozygous for that type of Albinism and APTOR.

If you want to find out more about RAPTOR Gentics do a search on the site. There have been many very helpful threads on the subject.

edit: correcting spelling :)

Well pretty much all of the Aptors are "het" for Raptor, so you may want to get a male Aptor, or "het" Raptor. If that is what you are after, you will have a better chance of hatching them, by breeding to a Ruby Eyed Albino.

Actually, he MOST likely is a Bell. I got him from a shop that orders 90 % of the leopards and colubrids from Mark. The only other leopards or colubrids they get in are from their clients bring in the odds and ends. He had 4 blaz blizzards and about 2 dozen Bell Albinos when I was there. The animal I got was the only one with the solid jet black eyes. His body is a pale white pinkish. They shop workers never pay attention. BUT here's the deal. The first time he bred, he suffered a prolaps hemipenis. It has yet to go all the way in, it still sticks out about 1/4. I've been taking care of him ICU style, and the guy still breeds, with both hemipenises ! I figured lady visitors whould keep his spirits up. After each breeding, the hemipenis fails to go all the way in. He eat normal and breeds normal. I'll try to post picks tonight.

The Bells work with the other albinos too. I got my Mack Snow Tremper Male from them a While back. They wouldn't be selling a Bell Blazing Blizzard. I am looking forward to the pictures. :)
