My name is Jake and I've been bitten by the reptile bug again. I've kept Leos and bred cresteds when they first were around but ended up getting out of the reptile world and into saltwater reef tanks. After having had a reef tank for 6+ years its broken down now and I've been without a tank for about 6 months now and I'm thinking about getting back into it. I have a 3 year old son that would love something he can actually hold (kinda hard to pet fish and coral). This is basically my pet but I think my son would it as well kind of a father son thing. I've been reading up on this site and it seems a few things have changed, mealworms used to be a treat not a staple diet. Anyways just wanted to say hi and hopefully meet some good people. I live in Chicago so if you are from the area hit me up. Also if you have any tips I'm all ears. Cheers.

ahh another illinoisian haha, well well and honestly i personaly think its great your thinking about getting back into them and concider it a possible father son thing. Who knows maybe your son will want one of his own and you guys and build tanks together or w.e else. I say go for it, i recently got back into leos after having 2 Ball pythons.

Ya I'm excited also. It will be fun and I know my son will love it. Eventually id like to try my hands at breeding but that won't be for a while. I've bred cresteds but that was years ago. I'll post pics as soon as I get the tank setup and running. Thanks for the welcome.
