Jackie Chan, whom we now call "he" <grin>, is growing! His color is changing and his stripes are breaking up some more. His stripes are turning yellow instead of his gray background color. He has gotten alot longer too and more filled out! Well, why don't I quit talking about it and just show you!?

Thanks Everyone! I am a proud mom, I guess! It is so much fun to see how they grow and change when they are cared for properly...my kids and I are having alot of fun watching Jackie grow and taking care of him. My almost 6yr old son is braver than his sister and wants to put his hand in the tank so Jackie will touch him. He is so proud when he holds still and Jackie touches him. His sister is gettign braver, too. I am going to pick up another leo this weekend; she comes complete with her tank and she is about 9 months old. Apparently she will crawl on your shirt and arm...my son will love that! Plus when the weather gets better my new girl from Marcia will be arriving!!! I can hardly wait! Her tank is ready for her arrival...

Here is her tank...

Thanks again!

I love the tree in the back right corner and that rock hide in the front middle. I gotta go look around for some stuff like that.

Scott&Nikki,

I got the tree at PetSmart and the rock was from Petco; my daughter helped me pick them out. There's a cactus laying on it's side like a log that I wanted, but when I looked at them they all had sharp edges and I didn't want to take a chance on hurting my leo! the rock hide is really cool! You're seeing the backside...the front has a ramp so the leo can climb up and bask...I sure hope Tiki likes them when she comes home!

Thanks!

Both set ups look great. But I would suggest maybe a small water bowl for Jacki Chan. Since he's in a 10 gallon it looks like it takes up a lot of floor space. So a smaller water bowl should help clear that up. This is only a suggestion.

Stitch,

Thanks for the suggestion, which is a great one! Only problem is talking my daughter into changing it...she picked the bowel out herself! Maybe if I suggested we save it for his bigger tank...that may work!

Thanks!

I think it would be fine in a 20 gallon. Like I said, in a 10 it looks like it takes up some floor space and they don't need too big of a water bowl. Can't wait to see the pics of the new arival.

Very nice set ups. Is Jackie the same leo as your avatar?

Yes! That was Jackie after we had him about one month...we have had him since Thanksgiving, so about 2-3 months...his color is changing since the pics; he shed last night and now he has an orange spot on his tail! The yellow coloring is starting to move down his tail, too. I wonder what color he will end up?

He is an awesome little man!
