Welcome to a whole new obsession!!!

And for the record, "sling" is a theraphosid term. Young scorpions are referred to as "scorplings".

Thank you for correcting me Maurice. They are pretty freakin cute, I cannot wait to see them in Adult colors.

Congrats! B.Jacksoni's are pretty cool scorps, just be aware....their venom is supposedly rather strong. Not compared to the scary ones, but on a venom scale they rank a 3/5, they're usually pretty calm but just be careful ;)

Oh I have no intention on doing any handling, I just don't like the Big Black Uglies... Although I will still probably end up with them.

Nigel, here's a tip. If you're turned off by P. imperator, then you should check out P. cavimanus. They're not quite as big as P. imperator, but what they lack in size, they more than make up for in attitude. :main_thumbsup: P. cavimanus was one of my first scorps, and still is my favorite Pandinus species. :main_yes:

I was looking into Heterometrus, aswell as some Hadrurus species.

Also pretty cool, and each of those species sports a fair amount of attitude as well.

H. arizonensis I'd guess? If so and you do get one, give it about 6" of clay/sand mix and watch that thing build some pretty elaborate tunnels. Probably one of the most enticing aspects of keeping this species. :main_yes:

H.arizonensis or H.spadix.
