Jungle?

I know nothing about morphs, really, other than some super basics.

What are the characteristics of a leo with the jungle gene? I was on my leo's breeder's website, and there's only one possible father and two possible mothers. Trying to figure out which one it was, it said that one mother was a regular bold stripe while the other was bold stripe/jungle. Would my leo show that gene at all, if the father was pure stripe and the mother was stripe/jungle? Basically, I'm just trying to figure out which one the mother is, and if my leo maybe looks part jungle, if that's possible, I'll know it has to be that one...

I'm sorry that was such a confused post, I genuinely know nothing about genetics.

There is no 'jungle gene'. Jungle is a line bred trait, which means it doesn't have an on/off switch like albino, blizzard, or other simple recessives have (e.g. you need two copies of the gene for the trait to be expressed, if an animal just has one copy then they appear normal). You can't know for sure which mother the baby came from. You get jungles from breeding nice looking jungles to nice looking jungles, but your babies will be very variable. Some will be normal looking, others will be nice jungles.

Hm. Well, I suppose I wouldn't be able to tell anyway, she's so bold stripe-y (for lack of a better term) I suppose I wouldn't be able to see it much anyway. She looks more like one female than the other. Eh. I was just curious. I Google Imaged some jungles and I can't tell visually what makes them a jungle and not just an albino, bold stripe, etc. It's not a huge deal, I was just curious and I'm interested in learning a bit about morphology because I don't like not really knowing about something. :D

A jungle is basically a leopard gecko with out standard banding. Instead of black bands on the body and tail, it may have randomly shaped blotches, stripes, or any pattern.

There are genes that control jungle, likey the same genes that control stripes, or atleast related. Though it's true they are a selectively bred morph, and not as easy to define as albinism and such, there are genes that control it. Breeding two nice jungles will result in more jungles than breeding two banded geckos, that alone proves it to be genetic of some sort.
