Jungles and Stripes

I've been browsing this forum, and was reading some of the threads about jungles and stripes. I'm hoping to breed some cool stripes, and figured that it would probably be a good idea if I understand this all better.

So, most of the stripes came from Jungles?

What would you get then if you breed a Jungle to say a Tangerine Dorsal Stripe?

Any background or info on stripes would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Draba

Yes, as far as I know

Most likely, some tang jungles, maybe some with a little bit of a dorsal strip, that doesn’t run down the whole back. It would vary from the offspring to offspring, the amount of jungle, and dorsal strip that is.

each pattern type emerged in this order: jungles bred together created the first stripes, then stripes bred together eventually produced the first reverse stripe. And now we have the "patternless" stripe (i.e. Aptor) These patternless stripes are essentially the next rung in the pattern ladder. Selective breeding the nicest examples to the nicest examples is the best way to maintain/improve these complicated patterns--because the banded pattern is sooo dominant. Hope this helps :)
