So I brought my jouvie (25 grams) Aptor het Raptor leo home. He is very active walking around the cage and such. Temps are just right and I've been leaving meal worms in there. It's a 10g tank and has a shed box on cold side and hide on the warm side. A couple things that concern me, I haven't seen him run whatsoever, just walk; he hasn't eaten any worms yet (their in one of those brown meal worm dishes) even when i put them right in front of him; and lastlyld be his underside is a light pink apposed to a white like i think it should be?

so please get back to me with answers and such! thanks!

Do not worry about not eating it will probaly stay like that for a week or so as for the pink skin I'm sure that it's just a shade in there skin maybe wrong tho as most of my guys have some tint of pink on there undersides and tail good luck with him mate

it takes a week or so for them to settle into their new home and relax from all the stress of moving. he will eat when he feels comfortable and ready. as long as he doesnt get skinny youve got nothing to worry about yet.

pink is a perfectly normal colour for leopard geckos undersides...

I carnt see why that would be a problem mine don't generally run unless they get scared or chasing a feeder even then they don't tend to run it's usually abit of a quick dash I would personally see It as a good thing atleast he/she? Is not scarpering everytime u take a look at her I should no all to well that it's abit tense owning a very stressed gecko that goes on a mission anytime something touches it lol

i guess he's fine walking.

its more than normal to not see a gecko run, especially in the first 24 hours of having him lol.

he's new, he's going to hide. I'd just let him settle for awhile and cut back on handling. Just let him be till he starts coming out on his own, then start offering your hand to him.
Sooner or later, he'll be conditioned.
But if he's hiding from you, then taking him out of his "safe zone" so you can look at him, isn't going to make him adjust any faster.
