Hey there. Was cleaning out my lizards cage and just found two eggs. I have a desert waterfall next to the cold side habitat and found them between the shelter and waterfall. It stays moist because sometimes the waterfall hiccups and spills a little. I take the substrate out to let it dry? Im not sure how old the eggs are and am strapped financially at the moment so I cant really afford an incubator. But not knowing how long theyve been there I dont know if theyre still viable? any help is great

Sand is a big no no. I would remove the sand from the tank, get paper towel or tiles. I would just toss the eggs since you can't afford to hatch them. Do you have a male and female in a tank together. If so I would separate them as soon as you can. You can easily get a cheap clear tub with a lid drill holes in it and use that til you get a better cage for the male or female leopard gecko if you have two together. If you only have one leopard gecko, then it would be infertile eggs that can just be tossed.

Please remove the sand if and when you can, it's very harmful to lizards, especially leopard geckos. You can replace the substrate with paper towels if youre stuck financially, it's one of the best options regardless.

The Eggs don't look like they could be alive, or holding life. If you can't afford to take care of babies I think it's best you just discard them
