I'm pretty stoked. I just got my 1st ball today. The breeder said it was a blackback morph. It kind of looks like a normal to me but idk too much on morphs......yet. ;) I have a feeling this won't be my last. I wanted to start of slow and maybe work my way up to a more expensive morph. I've done my research on care so but you can always learn something new so any help from the pros would be appriciated.........oh I almost forgot my new baby is less then 2months old. What size rodent should I feed? Thanks in advance for your help.

Congrats on your new addition. You should ask the breeder what he's been eating and start with that.

Agreed about the food, but a rat fuzzy or pup is usually a good place to start. A blackback isn't a morph, it just means that the pattern doesn't meet on its back, leaving it black. Sometimes it's genetic sometimes not.
Congrats on the baby though!

Congrats! We've had our first bp for about a month now. He's a normal and only 13wks old. I back up the others on check with the breeder on the mouse size.

My son got his first ball at 4 months old and he went right onto hopper mice and small adult mice. They suggest nothing bigger than the widest part of his body.
