Thank you. yep big oscar fan here lol but yeah they are cichlids even the angelfish. The second photo is a jack dempsey.

Oscars always a favorite back when my Gecko tanks
had water in them..
Quite a nice Dempsey and Angel too.

Thank you HJ yeah I love these guys. I go through lots of water on these tanks but it keeps the water params nice .I like to keep my nitrates as low as possible.......Shaun

the red oscar is around 9 inches I have him for a little over a year now. I had him since he was just a tiny little thing about an inch long. The Jack Dempsey is a little over 5 1/2 inches and the white oscar is just about 3 inches. I havent had her to long though.

I really love the Jack Dempsey. I had a couple oscars a few years ago, but I had to rehome them after my 125 gal tank cracked. I miss them. They sure do have a great personality!
