I was also wondering if someone could help me decide whether this normal is really just a normal...if you notice he has some orange on his tail, and it's really rather bright. When I first got him as a baby he didn't have any orange to speak of and then one day I noticed a stripe on his tail and now he has a couple of other spots too...do normals have orange on them ever?

And then the last pic is just one of my SHTCT (I was cleaning cages today)

Actually Gypsy bit me today! I think she just mistook my finger for a mealworm ! I'm having the most difficult time getting her used to being handled...I couldn't even take her out of her tank today to clean it, I just left her in as I changed out her repticarpet, she got really scared though....Anyway, thanks for saying she looks sweet :nice:!

Alot of "normals" have influence from the carrot tails. That would be considered a normal, or mabey even a high yellow. Both are very nice looking geckos...now go put some calcium on your finger

The top gecko is not a 'normal'. It is aberrant patterned, perhaps with some stripe influence. I wouldn't consier it a carrot-tail, though.

So you're saying that my gecko isn't a normal? I just assumed he was because I picked him up as a baby from petsmart, there were about 5 others in the cage with him who looked just like him. So what does an adult aberrant patterned look like? Do they look a lot like normals? Sorry, I'm new to the different kind of morphs and whatnot, so this is a bit confusing to me!

Ok...so I just looked up what aberrant means ) ) and it means different pattern or something like that...so I assume you are just saying that since his black area isn't banded across his back that he's aberrant patterned?

Thanks! Yea, she's a pretty expressive looking one...though I've found that a lot of the SHTCT's look like they're smiling...maybe it's because of their light color on the face...but either way, I love it!
