hey everyone im new to this site and had a few questions

is it okay if my gecko keeps going beneath his paper towel substrate towards his heat pad? or should i be concerned

could some of you guys please show me some pictures of your tanks and your humid hides as well

and do u put the humid hide on top of the heat pad

Some of mine go under the paper towels, they like the close feeling of something on them. you way want to try a smaller hide. My humid hide is on top of the heat. The cali dish isn't in there yet, doing cleaning right now so the towels are a little damp too from just being put in. Also getting the towels damp when you put them in willhelp them kinda stick to the bottom of the tub so its harder for them to hide under them.

Do you have a thermometer to check the temps? If your gecko is trying to get closer to the heating mat, he might not be warm enough? The ideal temp is around 90-92F on the warm side.

it is about 87 on the warm side
