I have a 6 month old male mack snow raptor who's been refusing food for 3-4 days now. I've had him for a month and he's been eating all mealies and I haven't had any problems. Lately he'll approach the mealworms, lick them, and then just walk away. I'm aware that adult leos will fast from time to time but since he's only 6 months I'm a little nervous. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The fact that he is at least coming close to smell is a good thing. Have you changed the type of dusting supplement by any chance?

Yeah actually! I was using repcal without d3 and then I switched in repcal with d3 so he could the d3 in his diet.

Well the D3 normally does not make a difference in taste. I was refering more to a vitamin supplement which some just don't like the taste. I don't think it's health related due to the fact he at least came close and smelled. I would just try other insects.

anything else I can try besides crickets? I'd really like to avoid having to use those little devils.

lol They are not so bad. Pheonix worms are great (no need to add calcium), silkworms, hornworm and roaches. The more of a variety the better.

Good news! Ate a mealworm and two crickets today! I think he's gonna avoid crickets for a while though cause they were a little big for him and he had some trouble swallowing but I'm just happy to get something in his stomach! I also ordered some phoenix worms yesterday let's hope he'll take to those!
