Keeping female gecko alone

Is it ok to have a female that you are not breeding alone indefinitely? I have been wondering this for quite a while and can find no info on this question. (probably because it's a no brainer and perfectly ok! But I'd like a definitive answer anyway).

We have a female mac snow that is now almost 2 years old, and alone. We don't plan on breeding. Do they go into heat, become gravid, or produce unfertilized eggs? Are there any problems with this? Do I need to look out for anything?

She has not been eating very much lately (probably because it is just coming out of winter). She still has a healthy fat tail, and is still shedding normally. (actually shedding now, as I noticed her coat is white this evening). I put out mealworms, and she passes by and looks at them, but does not eat any. (all my worms are turning to beetles, as she is not eating them very quickly!) I have seen her sip water though, and just poops white lumps.

Any thoughts on this would put my mind at ease. Thanks!

Leopard geckos are not like dogs. They do not like being housed with others (except for breeding of course) so yes it is perfectly ok to keep her alone

100% agree. I prefer to keep my girls alone and I think they appreciate the peace and quiet too! They are not social animals and do not really benefit from company.
