keeping humidity in the winter

i was wondering a good way to keep the humidity in the winter months when the heater is on. i was using a coco fiber substrate but joker would not go past like half way down his cage. so i tried using paper towel and he will go all over so i want to keep the paper towel as a substrate. what coudl i do to help keep humidity up

a light misting every other day or every 3rd day would suffice. depending upon how much air flow is in the area where the gecko is located really depends upon the amount of liquid is needed.

yea i had to spray once a day when i had the coco fiber now im up to like 4 times a day
