So I just recently bought 3000 large mealworms...I couldn't pass up the price(3000 for 20$ shipped to my door:)) thanks GeckoGalore! I'm not interested in breeding them but I'm assuming I need to feed them and maintain proper health of them throughout the time I need to feed them off. I'm planning on having a constant supply of about 200-300 out gut loading on oats, apples and carrots. What is the best way to store the rest while I wait to feed the others off? Hearing what some of you guys do for maintaining a large number of mealworms for a period of time without breeding them would be very helpful. Thanks guys/gals!

Lol, I do know id need to store them in the fridge but do I need to periodically remove them and let them thaw out a bit and give them something to eat. Or will I be able to just pull 2-300 out and then once those are fed off go and just pull more out and continue this until they are gone? I'm basically asking if I need to actively maintain the ones in the fridge over the months of feeding them off? Im planning on keeping the 2-300 out constantly and actively feed and maintain them. I don't know if I'm making any sense...now I'm sad :main_no:

I have just been leaving them in the fridge tell I pull them out to gutload without any problems. Some recommend pulling them out once a week and giving them carrots.
