I cant seem to figure this part out but then Im not very good at genetics.
I have a hypo albino (hybino) and she has very gold eyes.So is she still considered an albino?
There are different types of eyes (which I also have a thread started last night concerning the types), but the type of eye is not always related to the "albino" gene.
You can have an albino with normal eyes, but if you look verrrry closely, I "think" any black pigment is replaced with a shade of red or dark red...allllmost black, but not quite. This is usually noticed on "normal eyes" as red veins.
The "red eyes" most people think of are actually the solid eyes (another gene)...but they are coincidentally RED because of the albino gene. So the combination of 2 different factors is needed to make the Solid Red eyes you might be thinking of.
Take a verrry close look at your Leo's eyes and try to see if the veins are red under a bright light?? Let us know or post a good close pic in a well lit area.
Yup, like Vampyre said they're just normal eyes. Mine is 100% normal and the OPs gecko is a "normal" albino eye (if that's not an oxymoron in itself...lol)
