Kind of a hypothetical situation/request...

Since I am still not sure of where I am going to college and whether I will be allowed to have a small animal like my leo in the dorm with me, I was wondering if I wasn't allowed to have him if someone here would take him in for me? Possibly someone here in Florida or in Boston (where it looks like I will be going). I would pay for his food and ALL supplies for sure, and you would get the tank and everything, and we could work out a way financially where I could assure you, you would get your money. I love him so much and do not want to sell him or give him to someone who may not provide him with proper care.
This should have been thought out before I got him, yes, I understand that, but now I have had him and have grown to love him.
He's mellow and has no health problems.

It's not for sure, but if I were to know that SOMEONE would do it, it would take a HUGE wait off of my already heavy shoulders.:(

Thank you.

I would love to... but I'm in Illinois right now and probably moving to Iowa in the summer. I actually have everything I'd need to house him too. A 20H tank with a uth that I used on one of my leos before. All I'd need to get is a thermometer and rheostat and I'd be set. Hides would help too but that's not unreasonable to buy or ship.

I went to NYU in Manhattan and was able to have anything that stayed in a fish tank. I don't think they had a breeding rack of leo's in mind but that's where I got started 10 years ago. After a brief hiatus I'm back :)

It really depends on your roommate. If he isn't going to tell on you, you can keep just about anything. I roomed with a team mate so I knew him ahead of time. If you are going to school somewhat near home I would ask him when you move in and see if he cares, if he doesn't then I would just take the leo in. As long as people are reasonable you won't have a problem.

If there is an issue then you can just seek out someone to take care of him.

I would agree with Fencer. You should be good. If not I do live in Florida and would be able to help you out

Thank you everyone!
I'm hoping there would not be any issues, but just in case, a squemish roomate would NOT be good.
