Komodo Dragons Kill Man in Indonesia

What would prompt a komodo to attack humans? scarcity of food, feeling threatened or were they being territorial. Either way its pretty tragic and a nasty way to go.

Komodo dragons are very territorial and are not afraid to attack anything or anybody in there territory,also if they are hungry humans are an easy prey item.

they are absolut carnivores. they do not care what it is how big it is or ANYTHING. there is very little any animal can do against a dragon. they will eat what ever they can. it has nothing to do with prompting an attack on humans. they are hungry, they want food. thats all there is to it

I wonder if he was killed by the bacteria they carry in their saliva, or if the mauling was enough...
