Well, I purchased my first "advanced feature" account yesterday on Kingsnake..

I just got this email, and 6 others - alerting me all of my ads had been removed.

It seems for saying I would accept trades in an ad that it violates terms as it being a purely "trade" based ad. How rediculous is this?

This really ticks me off, im ready to start my own classfieds site now. Kingsnake is a terrible design, and visually not apealing at all. The only reason is it still in business is for its traffic. Wow, i'm steaming.

Am I right, or am I right?

I really dislike kingsnake I mean they have good resources for show info and stuff but there forums are a wreck and the people there are mean as crap to new people.

I used to hang out at kingsnake a while ago on the iguana and uromastyx forums. The people were mostly nice but forums were slow and uninteresting after awhile. I only go there now to veiw the classifieds. Never became a paid member.

I emailed Jeff and he said he didnt deal with it, so I forwarded my complain to classifieds@*. Im going to repost the ads today and reword them a bit and see what happens.

They did the same thing to me, I have had MANY ads deleted from there.

They deleted a few for missiing pictures and a few because I put in specific things that I would trade for. It said in the email that I could say "Accepting Trades" but can't put in what I would trade for.

Yes, yes it is. Their reasoning is, they have a Trade section and want all Trades posted there.

I am going to start putting trades that I would consider on my site, and saying in my ads something lilke " Please go to "this Page" to see what trades I am accepting" or something like that

Yes, it has. You need to read their TOS...

Trade Ads - No "trade" ads are allowed in the sale-type classified sections. We have classified sections for these and they need to be placed there. You may mention in a sales ad that you will accept trades, but if you list what you want to trade in the ad, the ad will be removed.
