its really starting to annoy me how every single one of the sponsors on top of this website is 100% sold out AT ALL TIMES. i don't understand, why pay to have your company up there and when i click on it there is nothing for sale. the most I've seen is like 5 geckos of some random genetics. its pretty annoying having to wait every 3 months for an expo to come around to have to buy animals even if they are cheaper. i don't know what to do.. any suggestions?

I don't even have the chance for reptile expos, since i'm in North Dakota we don't get any of those anywhere close enough to travel too.

But finding a great Leo that you want to add to your collection is gonna take time and patience and lots of looking.

Geckos Etc. has lots of geckos for sale! They are good to deal with also! I got 3 from them earlier this year!

A lot of breeders just don't have time to always update their sites. Mine is somewhat updated now, but it hardly ever is. It's best to check the classified ads here and e-mail the breeders to see if they have anything you're looking for. I always list everything I have in the classifieds.

Sometimes a breeder can have a slow season, sometimes they have a "rebuild" season where they swap out old breeders with new, some on the sponsors banner like myself are in their first season of breeding and well you know how first season goes...virgin females are very unpredictable. Not to mention first season having to juggle what to keep as a breeder next season vs what to sell.

Others like Kelli's HISS should be launching theirs soon, as she hasn't displayed any of her 2012 hatchlings yet. I know I'm looking forward to what she's got.

Lzrdgrl is building a new site, otherwise she usually has plenty of geckos available.

Progeckos should be launching their 2012's soon.

There are also some that unfortunately stopped breeding leopard geckos for whatever reasons, it happens.

I'd say most people are small to mid-scale, so we are never going to have 50 geckos up for sale all year round. There are only a handful of large scale breeders online that I know of that keep a large stock of gecko variety up for sale year round. Rest you'll have to find at expos.

So.. like someone said above, patience, it's not always easy to find exactly what you are looking for. :)

Many of them have plenty of babies available but are waiting for them to reach shipping size before they are posted. Also, check all of the breeders facebook pages. Those are usually updated daily.

relax it's just that time of year, many of the babies are being grown out and most of last years are already sold, just be patient and keep checking. Remember, like others have said, some breeders might have a bad or have gotten a slow start to their season or just don't update their site. Try emailing a few with what you are looking for and you might be surprised.

Well said. I have about 60 hatchlings, only 6 of which are posted for sale at this point... They need to get bigger, settle into coloration/patterns, be visually sexable, and I have to find time to get pictures taken, and learn to take decent pictures, before I can post them for sale. There is definitely a lot of work involved with producing a quality product.

I would guess that many of the site sponsors are in this boat, or similar. It's still really early in the "season".
