Lamp Question....

Okay, so I went to PetPeople, but they were out of the UTH pads :)main_angry:) so I went ahead and bought the only lamp they had there. The lamp is rated for 75 watts, and the bulbs next to it were either 40,60, or 100. I went with a 40 watt bulb because it had the lowest temperature (89) for 6" off the floor of the enclosure. My question is, if I put a 40 watt bulb in a lamp that's rated for 75 watts, what will happen? Will the bulb die, or even worse, catch fire? I plan on using this bulb for the day, and not 24 hours or anything.

EDIT: Nevermind

I'm no expert on lamp and bulb wattage, but I think you should be fine as long as you don't put anything greater then 75 watts.

It won't catch on fire.
What it means by up to 75 watts, is, if there is anything GREATER then 75 watts, it will starts to melt the lamp, and the bulb will burn out.
You're fine, there is nothing to worry about.
