So I'm rehabilitating a juvenile leo that was not being cared for. Previous owners weren't feeding regularly or even providing fresh water. When I got her she was about 3 1/2 months old and was already missing a tail.... She's now about 7 months old and her tail is back (though it is thin still).
Since then I've been doing whatever I can to try and help her get healthy again and so far it seemed that she was doing better. Now in the last month and a half I've noticed this dark spot on her stomach. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me diagnose her.
Here's her current living conditions:
10 Gal tank.
Gecko carpet substrate (I just switched from paper towels as I noticed she was getting ready for her first shed).
Small gut loaded crickets dusted in Calcium and D3 mix.
Temps between 72 - 88
I try not to handle her often until she gets a little larger.
She poops a few times a week (4-5 times) and they are small mostly solid and surrounded by a small amount of liquid.
I would take her to a vet but I live in rural Vermont and the closest one that is willing to check out a juvenile leo is almost 50 miles away...
Thanks for any advice you guys have.
