Hi everyone! I was at Petco the other day buying some worms for my torts & turtles and had a little time to look around. I was checking out the geckos and saw this little one that stood out from the rest of the others in the tank, I somehow ended up getting her and have her in a 40 gal breeder tank right now, I was wondering if the tank is too big for her (only spare tank I have atm). Also do geckos do better living alone or better in pairs or a group? Does she look a little skinny? Sorry so many Q's Thanks! Lassie.jpg

A 40 gallon is kind of big for such a small gecko, but what you could do since that is all you have is just section off some so it makes it a little smaller. If its too big they will feel insecure having to come out and get food.

Leopard geckos are solitary creatures, they don't Need another gecko, or a friend, but they do fine together, as long as it is females. Males don't get along.

She does look a bit thin, make sure your gutloading your feeders with something like carrots or potato's before you feed them to her. You also need to dust her food with calcium every feeding, calcium with d3 once a week, and a multivitamin once a month. Make sure she eats plenty everyday! :)
