Late Bloomers

I hope this is in the right section…

I have heard there are some males that bloom late. I was wondering at about what weight can you except for the late bloomers to bloom. I ask this because I hatched two mack tremper enigmas this season both cooked at 88 and both look female, one is 18 grams, and the other is 20.

Then again, maybe I’m bad at sexing. What do you guys thing?

To make sure someone mentioned that you can candle them and see if they have a vein down their to be male.

If that is not male that is going to be a hot female dont you think ?

I am leaning toward male. Wait until he gets a little bigger (25-30grams) to be 100% sure.

I might just raise these two up until they are 50 grams; I planned on doing this with all my hatchlings, but the enigmas because of the price drops, but now I don’t care. This should also allow me to breed them if they are female, if they end up being hot females I will sell them as such, for a much lower price, than a normal female. If they are able to be breed, then I get to sell them as proven breeders.

It looks to me like you may have a pair. Please send me some of your good juju My first eggs from Tremper enigma het Raptor x Mack het Raptor should hatch this week. Have you tried candling their vent yet?
