Good Morning Everyone
I am new to leopard genetics and am going to start a small breeding program. I would like to know what morphs are best to bring out bright lavender in the geckos. There was a beautiful rainwater lavender albino red-stripe that was for sale on fauna but I unfortunately had to pass on it because I am deploying to Afghan to train soldiers for a while and did not want to get any before I left. I will be looking for the perfect geckos while I am there and will have them sent to my friend awaiting my return, he breeds leos and is verry experienced in their husbandry. What are the best morphs to use so I have an idea where to research before I return?

There are a few different choices. We like lavender and were quite pleased with some of the babies we popped out last year. We worked with both snows and bold stripe bells to produce a lot of lavender. Take a look at my website. If there are animals that you like (even the sold ones) send us an email. We can probably tell you more details about how the animal was produced. I say to send an email because my partner Ryan does more of the genetic work, and would probably be better at answering your questions.
Long story short, most lavender animals have some sort of albino trait. There are some line bred animals as well that have a lot of lavender that are not albinos. For example, JMG has a line of lavenders that are not albino.

I think incubation temperature has a good influence on that as well.

Wow, it sounds like you'll be leaving your geckos for some time. I'm so glad you have local friends with experience to help out. Good luck on your tour!
