Lay Box Medium

What does everyone use as their Lay Box Medium? I have breeder's this year eating their vermeculite even though their food (gutloaded) is dusted and they all get fresh calcium in a dish once per week( I leave the dish in the tub but refill it once per week ). I will switch out all the vermeculite to paper towels today but I just wanted to get everyone's opinion. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I might have to try coco-fiber for them. Right now I use new zealand sphagnum moss. It's pretty soft and holds moisture pretty well.

I use coco fiber as well. but you might want to remedy the action of eating the lay box medium before switching. Try using PT for a week or two. wile your doing that try adding some multi vitamins to the dish making it available to them. they could be getting plenty of calcium but may be feeling a lack of something else in their diet. if they are they will tent to regulate themselves.

If you notice them licking that up then it may be safe to say they probably will stop eating their lay medium and you can switch to CF. But as always keep an eye on them to make sure they don't continue that behavior.
