Hello everyone,

To use as substrate on the laying box and wet hides, is better coco soil or forest moss?

Please share your experiences and views.

I prefer coconut fiber for lay boxes, paper towel for moist hides.

+1, it's what I use. For females they tend to just use the coco fiber for both laybox & moist hide sometimes. While males I like to keep them on paper towels to lessen impaction risk. Not to mention males with anything loose gets messy quick...what pigs :main_yes:

I use coco fiber in my lay boxes now. Humid hides all get paper towels. I used sphagnum moss in a few of my moist hides to try it out, but after my mack snow sub-adult ate a piece and I had to help her poop out 4 inches of moss... no way I will ever use it again >.<

I use Eco-Earth(which is coco-fiber). I get the huge bag at petco for 7 bucks and that will last me a long time. Im sure you can get coco fiber cheaper at a plant store or farmers market but im just always at petco getting crickets for my beardie and its just convenient
