I've been reading up on mediums that I'll need to be purchasing soon. And I'm wondering which are best.. It's gotten a bit confusing with all of the choices out there..:main_robin:

I think I'll be using vermiculite in the laybox and then hatchrite in the incubator. Anyone have some comments on either choices?

Oh, and most importantly.. Where can I buy vermiculite?

I've seen a few websites that show pictures of what looks like bed-a-beast in the lay boxes. Is this usable? Because I have tons of it. :)

Bed-a-Beast is GREAT for the laybox. That's exactly what I use, and it works well for me.

I incubate with the "Albey Method" and it worked out OK for me. So I've been using perlite to incubate, but I've been thinking of trying the Hatchrite. I know Mel from Concrete Jungle Geckos uses the Hatchrite and has stated that its worked well for her. Maybe you can shoot her a message and ask what her opinion is.

I love Bed-A-Beast! Makes a great lay-box material, some people do a 50/50 mix with that and Vermiculite.

Could I substitute Bed-A-Beast with Eco-Earth? Cause in both of my local pet stores they only had Eco-Earth and bed-a-beast looks similar.
