What's with this? The only time he comes out is when he's hungry or to poop. I fed him yesterday at 5:30 p.m. It's now the next day 12:30 p.m. and he hasn't step food outside his cave. It's the same routine every day. Again, I've only had him a few weeks, and he's a month old, give or take a few weeks. Is he going to be more active or is this about it? I keep hearing stories of all these active geckos climbing all over the place, walking all around their tanks... doesn't seem to be the case here.

I know this has been mentioned before, but I'll say it again. Your gecko is a baby and is very easily stressed. It's not uncommon for babies to hide a lot of the time because they're afraid of everything around them. Until he learns to trust you and is comfortable in his home he is going to continue to hide. Give him time.
