Lazy geckos?

I put a dish of mealies in their tank, but they won't eat them out of the dish, I have to drag them out one at a time and either tong-feed them or let them hunt em when they're loose. Any advice on how to get them to feed out of the dish so that they aren't so reliant on me?

How long have you had them it maybe new environment or stress when my geckos were in the tank I let the food roam free and they caught them when they were hungry
