Hi everybody, im going to a reptile show next Sunday and ive been looking at Leachies but there doesnt seem to be very much info online compared to other geckos. Can anyone give me some info on them or post pics of their leachie? It seems like they are much like cresteds.

I asked the same question, I joined another forum for rhac geckos and read up a lot.

They are just like Cresties.

They do have their own type of CGD type powder, it has more fiber I believe.

I have heard when they are young they need pretty small enclosures or else they won't feel secure. Then you can slowly move them up to a larger tank, if they stop eating, put them back in the smaller one.

That's it, and everything else is like Crestie care, except a taller tank.

Its the one in Cheswick PA, its called the Pittsburgh Reptile and Bird Show. Real close to Monroeville i think. I also go to the one in Mars Pa when i can. I live in the central part of the state, real close to State College.

there is usually only one vendor at the all ohio show that has leachies. i personally think they are over priced and not very good quality(healthy but not pretty) leachies. they rarely have small ones though. i have seen them for reasonable prices on kingsnake.com though. you might even be able to find some in the classifieds here on gf too.

Andrew, Here's a link to Genevieve's Geckos. http://www.genevievesgeckos.com/ I think she's up there in Ithaca, NY but attends PA area shows. She specializes in Rhacs and She may have some Leachies now. Can't hurt to contact her.

I REALLY want a Leachie too! But can't afford one just yet. The best info I found about them are on: http://www.forums.repashy.com. You may be able to find a couple other Northeast breeders there as well.

Good luck! And don't forget to post pics when you get one!
