Leftover skin after shed

My Leo has some leftover skin that's been stuck around his mouth for a few days. Many have told me to use a wet q-tip to help him, but he keeps snapping at it and will not let me. Are there any other suggestions on how to help him? I don't want it to cause any problems. Do you think it will?

You could put him in a tub with paper towels soaked in warm water(not hot, you dont wanna burn him) and leave him in there for a bit to see if that helps it peel off itself.

I use tweezers, myself, if there is a little bit that you can grab. If it's all completely stuck even around the edges then I'd try using a warm wet towel

Tweezers are your best bet, I also suggest grabing up a spray bottle an filling it with luke warm water & missing the area daily. Dont force it off, the skin may not be ready to come off. Peeling skin off to soon can damage the new skin beneath.

Four paws natures reptile vita-spray is a good product to us on your leo. This will provide necessary vitamins & moisture for further shedding problems.

I would not recommend spraying any leopard gecko with this vita spray. If the animal is set up and cared for properly this product should never have to be used on a leopard gecko. The suggestions above (wet Q-tip, tweezers, warm soak) are all good ways to loosen/remove stuck shed. Most shedding problems are directly related to supplement issues, illness, or as simple as a setup that is not ideal for a leopard gecko.
