Hello! I have a leopard gecko that I got about 2 months ago at a reptile show. For the first 3 weeks he was scared and didn't leave his hide. But then he started to explore and become more comfortable. Then every night I would see him laying on his stomach right outside his hide. He seemed to like to sleep there, or sit and watch me while I clean my room or did homework. But about a week and a half ago he started hiding again. He doesn't leave his hide (from what I can see) except to eat and drink. He doesn't lay outside of it anymore. Nothing has changed from what I can tell. I haven't moved his cage, I haven't accidentally scared him. I don't know why he's hiding again. Any ideas? Thanks

He is just being a Leo. As long as he is eating properly and the temps are maintained properly I would give it any concern. All animals have different personalities and this just may be your Leo's personality. It may help to socialize w/ him a bit more
