I was wondering what books would be best for me to read so I can educate myself of taking care of my Leo?

I don't really know anything about them yet.

Also,
what's the issue with sand? just scanning some threads I'm hearing a lot of negative stuff about using sand.
If not sand than what type of environment would be best?

I want it was realistic as possible, meaning as close to its natural as possible.

Any advice, random info, anything on Leos is greatly welcome.

Thanks all!

"The Leopard Gecko Manual" by Philippe de Vosjoli is a pretty good book. I would recommend natural slate tile as a substrate you can pick it up at home depot or lowes, they can usually cut it to the size you need.

Thank you! I'll look it up on Amazon.com. I'm going to make sure I have everything I need, including and especially, the correct info, to take care of my leo before I even think about purchasing one.
