leo growling?

Okay I know it will sound werid but do leopard geckos make sounds when angered? I figured they might hiss if aggitated but twice so far my two yougster leos have let out a high pitched growl. I was surprised, once it happened when one of them was aggitated when we first brought it home and then his "brother" did it today when i was feeding them, a crix surprised him. So has anyone ever heard anything like this? Oh and I'm not the only one that heard it my boyfriend did as well,hes the one that first heard it.

I know there are alot of sounds, I have only heard them yelp at me. Its sounds like a snort more.

Really? I was surprised when they did it my first leo which I've had for quite awhile and hes never made a sound. Guess hes more docile then i thought.

We don't have any babies as of yet but I know they "scream" when they are young. I think it's normal.

yeah, mine all make sounds when their pissed...or uncomfortable...

like a growling, but croaking sound....lol

i usually take this as a sign, depending on the size of the geckos...

I've heard the scream that sounds like a tiny eagle, a real short bark/squeak & my male can rattle his tail so hard that it makes the cage vibrate.

they all have the ability to make many sounds.. when startled, angry, or just not pleased for some reason or another..

generally the younger the more high pitched the sound.. many of our babies will scream when we mist the paper towels we keep them on.. some will do a pseudo strike which can be jarring at first..

i have two that are extremely vocal when picked up, sounds like they are a whining kid that just woke up..

I find it very endearing about them..
