Leo Not Shedding.

Ok I got a baby leo gecko about 3 weeks ago. He was fine ate normally and has been eating well every night since we got him. He is still a little skittish but he is much better. Any way, We lost power here about 2 weeks ago. The power was out for like six hours. He came out of his hide that night and his complete body was white. Not his head or his tail but just his body. I thought it may have been a reaction to the cold or he was starting to shed. Well he warmed up and was still white. So I figured it was shedding time. Well he stayed that way for two days and then one morning he was back to normal. I never saw any loose skin or evidence of shedding. Now I do know that healthy geckos eat their skin but I saw nothing. Not even a loosening of the skin. He hasn't shed his skin since(if that was a shed). He stays in his moist hide on the warm side and his colors are now fading a bit. Is this normal. He eats and poops everyday. He has a huge appetite. This is my first leo baby and am unsure what to expect.

you wont see any evidence of the shed, they will eat it all, so dont worry! sounds like he has shed and it has been a successful one :main_thumbsup:

Usually I'll see smaller pieces of skin laying around the warm hide area, but she eats the big ones and I hear that many times there isn't any evidence of it happening! I almost always catch her while she sheds and have to peel toe and face skin off.

He shed. 99% of the time you will see no trace of skin left on them or in the tank. Kind of throws you for a loop the first time, huh? Haha

It took me 3 sheds before I actually saw Gretchen shed her skin. She got white and dull looking and then POOF, bright and colorful. I did finally see it, and it was pretty cool -- but she was very secretive for a while!

Thank you guys. I see him eat like crazy and I know he is growing but I was afraid something could be wrong. Thank you so much for your help. He is getting very dull now so I guess he is going to do it again. I just love my Rocks.
