I handle Vigo a lot and he reacts well to it. He runs around on the couch or coffee table and then just hangs out under a shirt collar until he gets put back. Today, I was sitting by the cage watching TV and he kind of started rubbing the glass like he was trying to climb out. I wasn't really paying attention to him and then he started screaming. I'd never heard a peep out of him but here he was, slipping around on the glass and making a TON of noise. I got up because I thought there might have been something really wrong with him but as soon as I got up, he stopped. Ok so that was weird. Sit back down, 10 minutes later he's at it again! So I picked him up to make sure he was ok and he stops screaming. He didn't even snap at me when I picked him up he just..sat. So I put him on the table and he commences running around and doing normal Vigo things. I never really pegged lizards for the attention loving social types but could there be a reason that he was doing this besides attention getting?

Haha, that's a cute story. I know most people will say reptiles aren't capable of seeking attention; but I got to say a few of mine do (or seem like they do). Not for food or heat, but it became a routine thing to them that if I'm in the room, then they get picked up.

Is It Really Screaming?

Many dollars have been spent
to separate the gecko scream, from both the mating
song or the desire for symphonia singing lessons.
If it can be arranged it will be sure to generate
more interest for music scholarships for talented
leos. :D ..huh?
Take care. HJ

It reminds me of the singing frog in Bugs Bunny cartoons. In private the frog would stand up and put on a top hat and have a cane, and sing "hello my baby, hello my darling...." but when the man tried to show him off and make big bucks. He'd sit there like and look boring.

So Im sure if you took your gecko to the American Idol try-outs....thats what he'd do:p

Hahaha I can see it now. I'm standing there, awkwardly holding my gecko, the judges stare..finally I whip out my last minute plan "He is Vigo! You are like the buzzing of flies to him :D :D" Then, I get taken away by security.
