Hey i was wondering what the temps should be in the tanks. i have two tanks cause I had to seperate them ones in a 10 gallon and ones in a 5. my hot spot in the 10 gallon was just 104 DEG, and i don't think thats good. so i checked the spot where the gecko likes to stay and it was 98 DEG. the other 5 gallon had a hot spot of 111 DEG and the cool spot of 88.8 DEG. The bulbs are both 100 watt

Hot side should be between 90 and 95 degrees. I suggest getting a thermostat or rheostat to control temperatures. Are you measuring air temp or surface temp?

The temp on the hot side should be 88-90 degrees measured on the surface of the bottom and 80-85 on the cool end during the day and dropped down to 80-85 hot end and 72-78 on cool end at night.As small as your tanks are a 60-75 watt bulb will work but you need a dimmer to adjust it if your not using a thermostat

im measuring air temp. with a thermometer in the tank that has a wire with a probe at the end. made for fish tanks. could probably put it on the ground.

You need to either get it to the ground or get a digital one with a probe and lay the probe on the bottom because if your air temps are that high chances are your ground temps are higher. Pet smart has a digital one for about 15.00.

Is this the reason why you said your gecko's feet is turning dark blue/black? These temps are too hot and may have caused heat burns in your gecko's feet. You need to turn that warm spot down to below 95F.
