Hey I have a female leopard gecko she's a giant and she hasn't eaten mealworms her whole life abut I wanted to get all my geckos on mealworms so all of my colony has adapted well to the change except her. She has been taking mouthfuls of calcium everyday as long as 5-10 mealworms she never seems to be not hungry she has nit defecated in about 2 weeks could you please help
Thank you

Eric

P.s my only theory was to put her in warm water but for how long?

She might be constipated from the hard chitin or dehydration cause constipation. soak her in warm water daily for 10 minutes. also drop a few drops of water on her mouth avoiding her nose.

A change in diet often causes a change in geckos' potty habits. Warm soaks are good as mentioned, if that doesn't do it within a couple days, get some pharmacy grade mineral oil (it's an animal safe laxative). Just dot some on her little lizard lips with your finger and she'll lick it up.

I've used olive oil with same day- next day results every time, along with warm soaks and rubbing of the belly.
