I just went to the pet store and I bought a leopard gecko dust (pictured). Is this a good choice, if so how often do I dust the crickets?

The picture doesn't show up... However, if it's the leopard gecko dust I'm thinking of... I'd really recommend against it.

Honestly, IMHO the best supplements are:

Rep-cal Calcium (no D3) -in a dish in the cage at all times-
Rep-cal Calcium with D3
Rep Cal Herptivite

Others some people use:

Miner-all -as a vitamin supplement-

Osteo-form -as calcium supplement-

Calcium Plus -as an all in one supplement-

what do you mean "in a dish in the cage at all times"?

You NEED to have a dish of calcium powder without vitamin D3 added into it at all times in the cage. I'm not sure how to clarify that any more then I said in my first post. Vitamin D3 shouldn't be given to geckos in large amounts, so you want the calcium *without vitamin D3* to be in your cage for your gecko to snack on as needed.

I knew what powder it was. ;)

I would recommend, again, any of the products I listed in my last post.

If you have more questions, browsing through this subforum at older topics can be helpful too. A lot of people have had similar questions to yours, so I'm sure you can find an answer in another topic that is a little more easy to understand.

Also, here's a care sheet with a nice section on supplementation-

I have use Leopard Gecko Dust in the past along with Calcium with and with out D3and never had a problem. I switched this year to the new Repashy ICB all in one and am having Great results with it so far. I still use a dish of calcium in all my breeding adults but it is nice to have an all in one that works soo well
