Hi all,

I got my Leopard Gecko Miko 5 days ago, she's 1 year old.

She's eating well and her temps on the warm side range from 89-92 f and cool side is 75-80 f

But she's not pooping/urinating, I check everyday all over her vivarium and nothing.

She's on paper towel substrate until I can get a nicer substrate.

I have no clue what to do and I can't check her as she wont let me handle her yet.

She also seems a bit lethargic but is active when food is around. She's been hiding in her hide for 2 days now only comes out for food or to lick my hand.

She was out of her hide a couple of days ago and went to bed in her moist hide but has just suddenly stuck to another hide which she won't leave.

p.s. I am currently searching for a decent reptile vet for her (someone who'll know what they're doing)

Thanks :)

The reptile centre I got her from never told me about any problems and I don't know when it started, all I know is that she's been like this since I got her.

Geckos go through stress when you first get them or when they change homes, which can throw off their digestion. As long as the cage temperatures are correct and she doesn't appear very bloated or limp, just waiting it out is the best course of action. Note that handling or changing around the cage can increase her stress.

Please let us know how she's doing.

A little update. I took her to the vets the other day she didn't like her and bit her (I was trying not to laugh) but anyway the vet gave me some liquid paraffin to give her. I gave her some last night, I just checked a minute ago and saw the biggest poop/pee ever, I'm so happy shes okay. I've just got a sample so the vet can test for parasites... just to be on the safe side.

Shes out and about and even climbed onto my hand :D

Thanks for the advice guys :)
