My leopard gecko is just about a year old now. Good health and and weight. I got it a solid plastic hamster wheel a couple months ago that he loves to walk on throughout the day and night, but recently I've noticed he'll have these strange freak out moments while I'm lying in bed or on the computer where he will enter a full on sprint, then leap out and run around the terrarium. It is a 18x18 inch terrarium so he has the room to do it. He also shakes his tail really fast like he's excited or about to hunt which was strange to me. Even more recently I've noticed him doing this on the floor of the terrarium and no longer just the hamster wheel. Any thought? He doesn't seem terribly upset because he will come up to my hand immediately after without the typical fight or flight stance.
