Leopard Gecko Pattern

I was wondering how much one can expect the pattern on a leopard gecko to change. I got some leopard geckos in last week and they look nothing like the pictures from the ad. I don't know if it is possible that they have changed so much since the pics were taken that they are unrecognizable, but they do not appear to be the same geckos. I have contacted the seller, and haven't heard back yet, but just wanted to ask the group.

Could you post the pictures? Leopard geckos patterns do change a lot going from hatchlings to juveniles to adult. It's possible it's the same gecko but people here can help you identify.

These are the pictures from the ad. Sorry for the weird cropping, but I took a screen shot of the ad with all the pictures enlarged and then cropped them individually. I bought 1.3 but because kingsnake.com limits the number of pictures to three, the ad said to email for pics of the other female, and I did not ask for that.

According to the add, the last picture is supposed to be the male. The other two are supposed to be female. The only one that looks like the ones in the pictures looks like the first picture, but the deli cup was marked male.

According to the ad:
Female

Male

The first one here (ready to shed) is the one that was marked male on the cup, and it looks like the first female in the ad. The other 3 look nothing like what is in the ad.

According to the packaging:

Other than the obvious mixup of the male, does it look like the females are even close to the same ones as in the ad? if you eliminate the first picture from each group, are the remaining geckos the same? The ones I got sure have a lot of pattern on the head compared to the others. One in the ad didn't have any. The ones I got also have a lot more spots on the body.

can this:

become this:

head2.jpg

To me, none of the head markings line up at all. Even if they were to get more spots, or some of the spots went away, some would line up right? Can you get one like the last three pics from one like the first pic?

Ok, thanks. That is what I thought. The animals in the pics seem to be around the same age, so I didn't think they could have changed that much. The seller still hasn't responded to my emails, sent to two different accounts.

Given the nature of this situation, I wont post his information here. I am hoping it was a simple mistake and that he has just been too busy to respond, but the longer he takes, the more it looks intentional. I will give him some time, and if he doesn't respond I will post on the BOI. If I see ads up before he responds to me, I will post as well.
It just sucks because he knew he was selling them to my 8 year old daughter.

He responded.
"I had a couple pacific green groups up so maybe we got confused. If we did you definitely got the better group so I wouldn't worry!"
Even if they are a better group, they are not what my daughter picked out and paid for.
She sold her snakes to buy geckos, and the ones in the ad are what she wanted. He had a larger group that we looked at first, but she decided to get 2 small groups of different (nicer) animals that she wants than settling for more, lowere quality animals.

I think it is interesting that we got one of the animals from the ordered group, but not the rest.

Besides telling me that I got better than I ordered, and not to worry, he hasn't done anything. I see that he has ads back up on Kingsnake, so perhaps I should post about him now. I would hate for someone else to have to explain to their child that it doesn't matter what they ordered, the nice man sent different ones that he thinks are better.
