leopard gecko probe placements help ?

hi didnt know where post this, im just setting up my new 4ft viv and just a quick question where should i place the probe's, should i place the stat and thermo-meter probe under the hide in the hotside or next to it,

You need to be measuring the surface temp of the hot spot, so somewhere on the heat source (assuming you're using a heat pad or heat tape) would be best. And that's in regards to both T-Stat probe and Thermometer probe. Mount them both there in close proximity of one another. :main_yes:

done all that but was unsure weather or not to place it in the hide or not?

In a hide or not in a hide is irrelevant, since we're talking surface temp here and not air temp.
