Is the skin on the head normal? The area I'm looking at is the area around the mouth, nose and eye. Can you guys check if your geckos have this type of skin?
the area around the eyelids and nose. The black is visible on the photo, not the yellow. Look at the black spots, they look different from the black spots at the neck and top of the head area. Is that a skin condition, or stuck shed? It looks glossy.
My geckos' skin does not look like that. Maybe try a warm soak and gently rub the area with a Q-tip to see if it changes. If not, keep an eye on behavior and feeding patterns and see if it disappears with the next shed. That's what I would do. It doesn't look like an injury or infection.
Ya, I was waiting to see if it would go away with the next shed. I kept trying to rub it off with a q-tip with no result. If it is stuck shed, would it come off with the next shed?
I don't really think it's stuck shed. I'm not really sure what it is. I would wait it out. If it spreads or looks worse, you might make a trip to the vet. If you have any other geckos, make sure to wash your hands after touching this one or his stuff before touching the others. Just as a precaution.
