Leopard Gecko Temperature.

I was wondering if it was ok to have my leopard geckos enclosure at 95 degrees during the day or if I need to lower the temperature. I have a 75 watt infrared bulb in a heat lamp 8.5 inchs apart from the actual heat.

It is a 20 gallon long tank with an under the tank heater to. it is anywhere from 94-99 degrees during the day and I would think that it would get down into 75- 80 at least.

You need a thermostat to regulate temps.

while you definitely need a hot spot at 90-95F, it's important that there are cooler areas in the cage so that the animal can choose the temp it's most comfortable at. my cages are basically at room temp with a 95F hot spot in the back 1/4 of the cage.
