Leopard Gecko "Vomited" Egg

I know this is going to sound insane but my female leopard gecko vomited an egg this evening. She has been housed with a male after several failed attempts to breed them both with others. Apparently they decided to breed at some point. At her last weigh in 5 weeks ago she was 68 grams. In the last week or so we have noticed that she was quickly becoming severely emaciated. We increased her feeding and supplementation to no avail. We simply could not get her to eat. This evening my fiance observed her behaving strangely. He described her mouth as hanging open and her movement as stumbling. My first thought was MBD. Then while we were on the phone he kept questioning what she may be doing. She was rubbing her head on the ground and it looked like she was retching. He thought maybe a cricket ball had been impacted all this time. Then it happened...a healthy, full sized egg emerged from her mouth.

The egg looks great and has ZERO sign of chewing or deformation like you would expect had she eaten it first and simply been throwing it back up. Right now I have a camera on her as the behavior began again about 10 minutes ago. I believe there may be a second egg coming up.

Has anyone ever heard of this? What the heck may be going on???

Nope, never heard that one. Seems likely she did indeed swallow it and then regurgitate it, even if she did it without chewing much. I would suggest a trip to a reptile vet for her, as it sounds as though she's in some sort of trouble.
