I have a gecko about 2 years old. He hasn't eaten or pooped in about 5 days. I have put a new undertank heater on, a bowl w/calcium and vitamin D3 in his tank, a new substrata, cleaned his tank and everything in it and given him a warm water bath and tummy rub. I don't know what else to do. He looks good. Eyes are clear, no leaking from nose eyesor mouth. Although darwin keeps giving me this dirty look. I have put damp moss in his house. the temp is 80 and the humidity is 50. what am I doing wrong?

80 is too cold for a leopard gecko. You want the floor surface temperature (not the air temperature) on the warm side to be 90-93. If he's too cold that might be the reason he's not eating.

With winter coming on the shorter days and cooler temperatures they sometimes stop eating as much to prepare to brumate. I would buy a scale and monitor his weight. I'm not sure I would be overly concerned with missing a week or so of eating, especially if his weight stays stable, but would start to get concerned after the 2-3 week point or if he loses more than 5% of his body weight.

Also if you post this in the correct section (health and medical issues) you may get more/better responses.

Sorry I'm very new at this. It was a wonder I found a place to post. Thanks for the advice I did put a new undertank heater in thinking that was the reason and bought some more temp readers.

Sometimes Leo's don't eat before/after they're about to shed. I've had some of my guys not eat for a week. This will probably continue even after you get the temperature correct.
I would only worry if it's only been more than a week & they aren't drinking their water. Sometimes they just aren't hungry or they're moody.
