leopard geckos...A FANTASTIC pet for the absent minded.......

It makes me so angry when I come across ads like this. Its pretty obvious this company will say just about anything to sell their geckos.....and if they frequent this site, than whatever.... I can't believe that now leopard geckos are ideal for "even the most absent minded keepers"....and "will eat right from your fingers"......

If any of mine did, they would take off my fingertips...and being absent minded isn't something to be proud of, nor should someone so absent minded as such, own animals.....lol

maybe Im just being a jerk, but whatever.

I've always said that an animal being hardy and tough doesn't mean that you shouldn't give them the best conditions possible. They won't die with minimal care, sure, but that they keep breathing doesn't mean that they aren't suffering. I hate when I see people saying that 'blah blah blah is enough for a gecko'. You should aim always for the best, not for the enough.

Ps. They SURE are good for absent minded people. I once forgot my female's tank opened and went to the supermarket. I was like 20 minutes shopping. When I came back and saw the tank opened I almost had a heart attack!!! But luckily my gecko didn't scape, she was calmly waiting inside. I felt I wanted to kiss and hug her!! That night she received extra mealies. I can't stop blaming me for being SO stupid. I don't know what I would do if something bad happened to her
